Upon Arrival
When reaching the country of destination
- When you reach your destination call the appropriate airline or travel agent as soon as possible to reconfirm your onward or return flight booking.
- Ensure that you comply with the laws of the countries visited.
- Avoid going out alone to areas that you are not sure of its safety. At night, do not use roads, which are dark and quiet.
- Always be careful with your wallet or handbag and avoid bringing all your money. Store the money not needed safely in the hotel's safe deposit boxes.
- Ensure that your accommodation / hotel is safe. Avoid using the lift with a suspicious person. Ensure that you are not being followed when returning to your accommodation / hotel and do not open your door for strangers. Contact the hotel securities when you feel suspicious.
- Always be careful with strangers who are trying to offer you help or companionship. They may have other motives.
- Do not get involved with any business dealings with strangers without checking out their backgrounds.
- Do not use illegal taxies.
- Ensure your stay permit is not overdue. Extension of stay permit, if needed, must be done before your stay permit expires.
- You are advised to inform Brunei Darussalam's Embassy or High Commission in the visiting country about your address and contact number especially if you are planning to stay in that country for a long period. These information are important to enable the embassy or high commission to contact you in time of emergencies and others.
