As part of this tour, we will visit a pottery studio in Delhi where you will witness the different methods of employing clay to manufacture an art specimen. You can spend some time perfecting your own pottery skills in a pottery studio and produce items to take back with you.
You will be taught more techniques if you are already skilled at pottery to help you create intermediate and advanced artifacts. You will learn how to make simple shapes and items such as Mugs, Cups etc using clay as school lesson of this tour, at the very least.
After you spend some quality time in the pottery studio, we will take a tour of the Qutub complex which houses the Qutab Minar. The Qutab Minar is the tallest minaret in Delhi and is also one of the oldest monuments to survive to this day.
It was built by a Turkish ruler who invaded India after his defeat of the last Hindu king. The construction was started by Qutbu l-Din Aibak in 1192 AD but his premature death prevented the completed of this minaret. The construction was continued by his successor but the final storey of the monument was only added in 1368 AD.
