This sport is mostly practiced in the Caribbean Rosary Islands near Cartagena. The islands of San Andr้s and Old Providence, declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO, have areas of crystal-clear water 20 to 30 minutes from the shore. In the waters of Tayrona National Park you can reach considerable depths. In the Pacific Ocean around the island of Gorgona and the islet of Malpelo, sharks and humped-back whales can be observed.
